Old School Video: Dog Takes A Dump On The Field During Northwest Arkansas Naturals Double-A Game

Even though this is over a year old, it doesn’t make it any less funny. One of my favorite Minor League Baseball clips ever. The Northwest Arkansas Naturals the Double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals partnered with Iams to help wayward pets find homes via the Iams Adoptable Pet of the Game promotion. This particular pooch shows his appreciation by getting loose, running around the field, and leaving the Naturals a little gift out in the outfield.

Former Yankees Outfielder Bernie Williams Plays Take Me Out To The Ballgame On His Guitar At The Hall Of Fame

Former New York Yankees outfielder Bernie Williams is an avid musician. He has released two CD’s, The Journey Within in 2003, and Moving Forward in 2009. In addition Williams authored the recently released book Rhythms Of The Game: The Link Between Musical & Athletic Performance. While time will tell if Williams’ baseball talents land him in Cooperstown, it was his musical talents that drew a packed house a the Major League Baseball Hall Of Fame on Friday for a concert and book signing. In the video Williams strums out Take Me Out To The Ballgame on his guitar.

VIDEO: See Friday’s Bryce Harper Walk Off Moonshot Home Run From Multiple Angles

This folks is why Washington Nationals Double-A outfielder Bryce Harper is the best prospect in baseball. The 18 year old blasted a Ryan Pope 3-2 pitch to dead center field that went 480 feet, according to MILB.com, to lead the Harrisburg Senators to a 3-2 walk off win over the Trenton Thunder on Friday night. It was Harper’s third Home Run in Double-A and his first at home in Harrisburg. See the Home Run from multiple angles.

VIDEO: Bryce Harper Ejected From Harrisburg Senators Game Wednesday Following Strikeout

On a night in which Bryce Harper stuck out twice against San Francisco Giants pitching prospect Eric Surkamp, it was the second of the two that was noteworthy. Harper took what looked to be ball four on a full count pitch, and headed to first. As he did so he was rung up by the home plate umpire Max Guyll. Harper slammed his helmet into the ground and was immediately ejected and then proceeded to give Guyll a piece of his mind. Harrisburg manager Tony Beasley was also ejected. Harper gets pretty intense following the ejection.

UPDATE: You can see the reverse angle of the pitch via video found Here from MILB.com

Round Rock Express Launches Campaign Commercials For Mark Hamburger In Minors Moniker Madness

The Round Rock Express the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers has produced three great campaign commercials in support of reliever Mark Hamburger who is currently in the second round of MILB.com’s Minors Moniker Madness which takes 64 of the best names in the minors and whittles them down to one champion via fan vote. Hamburger entered the competition as a four seed in the Farmer Works bracket and took down Chicago Cubs prospect Matt Szczur in the first round. He is currently matched with Minnesota Twins pitching prospect Shooter Hunt, a five seed. Check out the hysterical commercials that the Round Rock Express marketing team came up with to help support Hamburger’s run through the competition.

VIDEO: 69 Year Old Former Astros Manager Hal Lanier Explodes With Anger Following Indy League Ejection

Last week we told you about 69 year old former Houston Astros manager Hal Lanier’s new gig as manager of the Frontier League’s Normal Cornbelters. Well over the weekend he got tossed one batter into a game for arguing that his lead off hitter was hit by a pitch. The umpire disagreed, and Lanier exploded with the fury of a 20 year old. The video was shot by PA man Brett Myhres who you can follow on twitter @BrettMyhers

Boston Red Sox Fan Lucky Not To Start A Riot In A Sea Of New York Fans During Yankees vs White Sox Game

This is something like you’d see in a Jackass movie. An overzealous Boston Red Sox fan decides it would be a good idea to jump on the dugout during a Yankees vs White Sox game last week at US Cellular Field and taunt the New York fans in attendance. Needless to say when he broke out a Boston Red Sox banner, it did not go over too well with the Yankees fans, including one fan in particular who rips the banner out of his hands and chucks it. After some more taunting the fan retreats to his seat where he is later presumably ejected from the stadium for dancing on the dugout during the game. Warning: Profanity in the video clip.

Complete Video Of Stephen Strasburg’s Rehab Start For Hagerstown Suns On Sunday

An outstanding job by the folks at BaseballNewsHound.com who taped all of Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg‘s rehab start on Sunday for Hagerstown. They have edited down the footage into an eight minute clip showing all 31 of Strasburg’s pitches against the Greensboro Grasshoppers. In addition at the end of the video they show the sea of people hoping for Strasburg’s autograph after the game. Outstanding job both with the video taping as well as the editing process. Fan Runs Onto The Field During Kansas City Royals vs Detroit Tigers Game Saturday & Gets Led Off In Handcuffs

Another fan ran onto the field and was arrested, this time at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City during Saturday night’s Royals vs Tigers game. The fan is loose for about 30 seconds and jumps up and down in the outfield before surrendering peacefully and being led off in cuffs. This video is unique in that it is taken by someone with first row dugout seats so you get to see the guy led into the dugout and down the stairs into the underbelly of the stadium. This guy is the latest in a series of fans to run onto Major League Baseball fields in the past couple of weeks including a pair at Busch Stadium and a guy at Citi Field.

UPDATE: This is video that starts sooner than the original video below. It’s amazing how long it takes Royals security to get to this guy. He’s on the field running around for nearly a full minute before finally giving up. The second video picks up at about the 50 second point of the first video.
