Apparently singer/actress T-ara Hyomin is blowing up in Korea. I don’t know much about her other than that she recently threw out the first pitch at a LG Twins Korean League game. It’s interesting to note that unlike in the states, the first pitch involves an actual batter. Also featured is a large superhuman mascot that presents Hyomin with the ball. Check it out.
Last week we were first introduced to Korean League Baseball Fans and their between innings enthusiasm. Here is another video from a recent game. These fans love their music thundersticks, and it really looks like an awesome environment to watch a game.
The Korean Baseball Organization is outdrawing some major league teams it would appear. Check out the two videos below from a game earlier this month between the Doosan Bears and the LG Twins. A pretty packed house full of thunderstick pounding fans react to a play on the field and sing-a-long to some music in the first video, and a group of dugout cheerleaders get the crowd fired up in the second video. It’s amazing how into it the baseball fans are and it looks like it would be a ton of fun to see a game in Korea.
