The Chicago Daily Herald posted this entertaining video of Theo Epstein walking outside Wrigley Field today. He shakes some hands, signs an autograph, and gets constantly serenaded by a guy in a “Woo Woo” custom Chicago Cubs jersey shouting “Woo Theo, Woo Theo” non stop for the length of the thirty second video. Enjoy.
Apparently the city of Chicago used to do inspections of Wrigley Field concession stands on Cubs off days. They recently decided to throw a curveball and did it on a recent game day. What they found was 20 critical violations across nine stands, three of which were shut down. Check out the CBS Chicago 2 Investigators report via the story link below.
Great story for the baseball history buff. Former Chicago Cubs outfielder Bob Will talks about playing six seasons for the Cubs in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. Will talks about his battle through the minor leagues, his successes at Wrigley Field, his career as a banker, and his love for baseball that remains as he enters his eighties.
