Thursday marked the final day of the Arizona Fall League regular season and all three games played to a scheduled seven innings. The championship showdown between Salt River and Surprise will take place on Saturday. Sunday we will post our 2011 Arizona Fall League Top 35 Prospect Rankings. The Phoenix Desert Dogs and the Peoria Javelinas battled to a 2-2 tie. Phoenix scored two in the top of the seventh to gain the tie. The Mesa Solar Sox defeated the Scottsdale Scorpions 6-2. Bryce Harper had two more hits to raise his average to .333 on the fall. Surprise got a gem of game from Texas Rangers prospect Miguel de los Santos who pitched five innings of one hit ball and struck out six to increase his league lead to 40, in the 12-2 win over the Salt River in a preview of Saturday’s championship game. Tim Wheeler hit his third home run of the year to account for Salt River’s offense.
