He’s only 21, his the future is very bright and his minor league past was very successful, but for Anthony Rizzo, the present which involves hitting major league pitching has been a huge struggle thus far. In 93 minor league games for the Triple-A Tucson Padres, Rizzo batted .331 with 34 Doubles, 26 Home Runs and 101 RBI’s. In two separate stints with the Padres, Rizzo has been a shell of his minor league self betting just .144 with 8 Doubles, 1 Home Run, and 9 RBI’s.
