Richardson, who was picked ahead of Indiana State’s Larry Bird, was a tall and versatile point guard. Halfway into the 1985-1986 season, Richardson was kicked out of the NBA for drug use. Today, Richardson uses his past as an example to help keep kids off of drugs.
