Kiki Vandeweghe - Denver Nuggets 1984 Home Jersey
Mitchell & Ness Throughout the 1980’s the Denver Nuggets outfitted themselves in one of the more vibrant, distinctive jerseys the history of sports has encountered. However, it was those in the jerseys that turned heads and dropped jaws. In 1983-1984 the Nuggets potent offense was led by the sharp shooting of Kiki Vandeweghe, who took home the scoring title. Assisting Vandeweghe was Alex English, the Nuggets’ all-time leading scorer. English dropped an average of 26.4 ppg during the 1983-1984 season. Both Vandeweghe and English took part in the highest scoring game in the history of the NBA. On December 13, 1983, the Pistons and Nuggets squared off at McNichols Arena in Denver. The two teams amassed a total of 370 points with the Pistons winning in triple overtime.
