Recently traded to the Oakland Athletics, former Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Jarrod Parker (KEY ROOKIE: 2008 Bowman Chrome) has teamed up with former teammate Justin Upton (KEY ROOKIE: 2006 Bowman Chrome) to help raise money for the Dayton Classics baseball organization in Ohio. Parker originally posted a pair of his signed cleats from the 2011 season on Ebay, which as of Friday morning had been bid up to $150. Then Friday afternoon, Upton tweeted from his official account @RealJustinUpton “The highest bidder for @JarrodBParker ‘s cleats will also get a pair of my cleats autographed as well. Bid now”. Well as you can see by clicking the link below, people have been bidding. The auction has more than doubled and is now well over $300. The auction ends Saturday afternoon. Pretty cool stuff. UPDATE: They sold for $430.
