The folks at MetsMinorLeagueBlog.com first posted this video of San Diego Padres pitching prospect Miles Mikolas eating a small lizard, perhaps a gecko, in the Peoria Javelinas bullpen during a recent Arizona Fall League game. Not sure if eating lizards is the best way to get your name out there, but if the numbers Mikolas put up in 2011 (4-0, 1.38ERA, 21 Saves between High-A Lake Elsinore & Double-A San Antonio) are any indication, the lizards in San Diego better get out while they can.
