Houston Astros top prospect Hunter Pence is clearly spring training's hottest hitter.
The 23 year old outfielder is batting .763 with 3 doubles, a triple, 2 homeruns, and 6 rbi's so far this spring.
It is Pence's first action since being sent home from the Arizona Fall League by the Astros following a DUI arrest.
He batted .283 with 28 homeruns and 95 rbi's at Double-A Corpus Christi in 2006.
Pence was originally drafted in the second round of the 2004 draft out Texas Arlington.
While he is slated to begin 2007 at Triple-A Round Rock, Pence may have an outside shot at making the big league squad if his torrid hitting continues throughout the remainder of the spring.
